New For 2000
Hammerhead Stall

Next year Vekoma will show the world 2 never before seen types of coasters. First is their insane Flying Coaster named Stealth, and now this, a freefall/roller coaster type ride named Hammerhead Stall at the Sheraton Studio City Resort in Orlando, Florida. This contraption will launch riders up a 200 foot tall vertical tower at speeds reaching 68 mph. Once the 28 passenger "stunt planes" reach the top of this tower, the engine stalls out and they make a full 180 degree turn and plummit back down the same track they came from. They then fly up an identical tower on the opposite end of the track and fall again. This 2 minute ride will feature several of these stall & fall maneuvers and will be yet another reason to call Orlando one of the coaster capitals of the world.
