New For 2001
V2: Vertical Velocity and Deja-Vu
Opens Spring 2001

The first coasters to be approved for the 2001 season are finally announced after almost everything else. Six Flags Great America is indeed getting an Intamin Twisting Impulse Coaster (Superman: Ultimate Escape at Six Flags Worlds of Adventure) as well as Deja-Vu which is a Vekoma Super Invertigo (debuting in Six Flags Magic Mountain and Six Flags Over Georgia this year as well). These bring the park's coaster count up to an amazing 12. Maybe Magic Mountain isn't the only park up against Cedar Point for the most coaster record.
