Rides Open Spring of 2001

Most people would not expect Six Flags Magic Mountain to install a coaster just one year after Goliath. Only a few would speculate 2 coasters coming to the Mountain. But I'm sure that no one would have thought 3 would ever happen in 2001!

X
Arrow Dynamics has finally made a comeback after a long absence from the coaster scene. But I think the wait was worth it! X will be Arrow's first 4th Dimension coaster. With a 200 foot first drop and a top speed of 76 mph, this thing could almost be classified as the Mountain's second hypercoaster. But the real excitement comes in the vehicle you ride in. Unlike any other coaster in existance, riders sit on the sides of the track letting everyone look above and below and see nothing but air. And the greatest part of all... the seats rotate a full 360 degrees forward and backward. This feature makes everyone go down its first 200 foot drop head first. Man.. this thing is gonna be sick! It is scheduled to open in late spring.

Deja-vu
This Vekoma built uspended shuttle coaster will be alot like their Invertigo rides excepte everything is almost twice the size. The other neat feature is its parallel lifts go completely vertical, leaving you looking straight up at the clouds or straight down. There is still no word on whether or not this ride will feature a new type of train to help with capacity. This ride will be built next to Psyclone. It is scheduled to open in early spring.
Goliath Jr.
Well this isn't quite as exciting as the other 2 new coasters but it is still noteworthy. Goliath Jr. will be a 20 foot tall version of last year's thriller.
