Six Flags Magic Mountain to get 3 new coasters for 2001
It as been announced, yet but not yet official, that Six Flags will be installing 3 new coasters next year. The information was found in Magic Mountain's season pass renewal packet. They start off with Goliath Jr. which will be a version of Goliath for the little kids. Next comes a Vekoma built Super-Invertigo called Deja Vu that sounds like a copy of the prototype that Six Flags Great America is getting next year. And finally, Arrow Dynamics makes their come back with the debut of their 4th dimension coaster simply called X. This coaster will be a completely new experience with seats on the sides of the track rather than on top or on bottom. Suposedly each seat will be able to pivot in any direction letting the rider decide how he wants to ride the ride. The one suprise that I saw was that fact that this prototype goes 76 mph... wouldn't that make this thing up around 200 feet tall... or does this think launch ya? The answers are slated to be told on December 19, 2000.
