Cedar
PointBlue
Streak
This is the oldest coaster at Cedar Point and it is a fun
and smooth ride with a nice amount of air. It was a very
quick ride and lines usually weren't bad at all.
Cedar Creek
Mine Ride
I've never liked the Arrow mine train type coasters, but
this one is probably the best I have ridden. It still has
the uncomfortable cars and wicked turns, but the ride is
pretty long and it takes a fun dive right to the surface
of the water.
Corkscrew
This is a really fun Arrow Corkscrew coaster with 3
inversions. It is a very short ride, but I love the
air-time right after the first drop and the smoothness
all the way through. It is fun to watch people flip
upside down right above you from the midway too.
Demon Drop
Just your average 1st generation Intamin Freefall
contraption. I still like to ride it on a crowded day.
Disaster
Transport
I know alot of people who say negative things about this
coaster, but I liked it. Maybe i like it because I always
loved dark rides and on this one you basically fly around
a bunch of turns in the dark. It is really smooth too.
Gemini
This is my favorite coaster at Cedar Point on a crowded
day. I like it so much because it is an awesome ride and
because it never seems to have a line. I think it is like
an early version of the hyper coaster because it debuted
as the world's tallest roller coaster and its whole point
is to throw you out of your seat. It is basically like a
wooden racer except the coaster is steel and very smooth.
Iron Dragon
This is a nice version of the Arrow suspended coaster. It
has alot of twists and turns that go in and out of trees,
and even a couple of twists right over the water's
surface.
Jr. Gemini
This is a small kiddie coaster that was built the year
after Gemini.
Magnum XL-200
This amazing 200 foot tall hypercoaster debuted in 1989
as the world's tallest and fastest roller coaster. And
even now, ten years later, this coaster still constantly
pops up as the #1 coaster ever built. Personally I enjoy
Steel Force at Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom a little
bit more than this one due to its total smoothness. But
this ride is definatly way more intense than that one.
The first drop is awesome and the second drops into a
small tunnel right next to Lake Erie. And the return trip
pulls you out of your seat several times which all
combine to make an incredible ride.
Mantis
This coaster was my first encounter with a B&M stand
up creation and to tell you the truth, I wasn't all that
impressed. I might seem out of my mind but I was a little
dissappointed when I finally got to ride one of these.
This coaster seemed alot rougher than any other B&M
coaster I had ever ridden, and other than the inversions,
I found this ride to be pretty lame. Don't get me wrong,
I still liked it and liked riding it over and over, but
I'd choose and other B&M type coaster anyday.
Mean Streak
Wow, this has to be the most impressive
coaster to look at. You wait in line for this gargantuan
woodie inside its oval shaped track, and it seems alot
higher than it really is. The ride doesn't have a very
great hill due to breaks, and it doesn't have that much
air-time, but it is still a very good ride due to how
long, smooth, and enjoyable it is.
Millennium
Force
Well, after following the
construction progress for 6 months, the most insane of
the new coasters opened on May 13. It was 9:00 in the
morning and I ran as fast as I could to the coaster and
only had to wait 20 minutes after the park had officially
opened for the 2000 season at 10:00. My first ride I
chose the very back because theres nothing like that seat
on all of the hypercoasters I have ever been on. The ride
was simply amazing and unbelievably smooth. I ended up
waiting 3 and a half hours for the ride later that night
and rode the second car second seat. Believe it or not, I
found the drop to be much more insane from this seat and
it was much smoother up here compared to the back. The
whole rest of the night I kept on wondering why the front
would seem to have a cooler drop than the back. Maybe
because it was at night. Anyway, this thing almost
doesn't even feel like a coaster because everything about
it seems so different from everything else. It reminded
me of a monster because there is something so strange
about the fact that you can see it from anywhere in the
park. The lift hill is actually quite scary, the drop is
amazing, the speed causes you to feel like you are in a
wind tunnel, and those overbanked turns are like nothing
else. Hands down, the greatest coaster I have ever been
on.
Power
Tower
This 4 tower S&S built freefall ride contains 2 space
shots and 2 turbo drops. I always found the Intamin
freefall towers to be much more thrilling than the turbo
drop rides, but this one has the tallest space shot in
the world and it gives great thrills and a great view.
Raptor
This coaster falls right behind Steel Force and Magnum
XL-200. This ride debuted as the longest, tallest,
fastest inverted coaster in the world but it has long
been beaten, but I still find this coaster to be alot
more fun and exciting than all of the others. The first
drop makes you feel like you are going to crash into the
midway, and the vertical loop, heartline roll, and cobra
roll are all fast and smooth. Then a series of turns and
2 flatspins conclude your ride on Raptor.
Wildcat
This is a fast and fun jet star type coaster.
Woodstock's
Express
A new kiddie coaster built for Camp Snoopy in 1999.
