Islands Of
AdventureMarvel Super Hero Island
The Incredible Hulk
This coaster is my favorite looping coaster
of all time. First off, I'm a big fan of the Hulk which
just makes it that much cooler, but this coaster takes
the chemistry of B&M and adds a truely great
feature... The Launch. Dr. Bruce Banner his slingshot
gamma ray booster catapult you skyward at 40 mph into a
heartline roll located 110 feet above the ground. From
then on it is simply a fast ride with 6 more huge
inversions, and plenty of suprises along the way. I
waited an extra 40 minutes to ride the front, but i was
quite dissapointed and found that the back was much more
intense.
Dr. Doom's Fearfall
These 2 S&S manufactured Space Shot
towers pack quite a punch. Dr. Doom has decided that he
will take the fear out of you on this contraption, and
use it against the Fantastic 4. The room you board
suddenly fills with smoke and then suddenly you are
launched 200 feet in the air. I found this Space Shot to
be much better than most because every time I rode it, I
flew out of my seat and slammed up against the shoulder
harness. I didn't find that on other towers like Power
Tower and Dominator. Well, its a really fun ride,
especially when lines are long on everything else.
The Amazing
Adventures Of Spiderman
And then there is Spiderman... The Greatest
Ride Ever Built!
Thats all I'm going to say.
Toon
Lagoon
Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw
Falls
This high tech log flume is quite alot of
fun, although compared to Disney's Splash Mountain, it
needs alot of work. There have been rumors going around
that this ride is going to be shut down and re-designed,
and I believe it needs it. The log flume itself is
awesome. The drop is great and at the bottom of the big
hill you fly out of your seat on a bump of some sort.
Popeye and Bluto's Blige-Rat
Barges
Somehow I totally missed this ride, but got
a picture of it on my way to the exit of the park.
Jurassic
Park
River
Adventure
In my opinion, this is the most
dissapointing ride in Islands Of Adventure. It was way
too short, and the dinosaurs really didn't look to
ferocious. But when the T-Rex came along, that was quite
exciting.
Pteranodon
Flyers
This ride had a 90 minute wait, and I did
not wait for it.
The
Lost Continent
Dueling
Dragons
This coaster is probably my second favorite looping
coaster right behind The Hulk. These dueling B&M
inverted coasters are pretty wild, but when intertwined
with each other, it truely makes you feel like you are
going to collide with the other track. Both Ice Dragon
and Fire Dragon go up the lift parallel to each other,
and the just have 3 near miss encounters. It seems that
the Fire Dragon is all about speed and high g forces
while the Ice Dragon is more about letting you enjoy the
ride. Kinda like comparing Batman: The Ride to Raptor.
This ride's line should be featured as an attraction. It
takes a few minutes to walk through the whole castle, and
it is full of skulls, bones, and special effects. HINT:
If there isn't anyone in line for the ride, when getting
off the Fire Dragon, open any of the doors on the left
and hop back into the castle's passage ways.
Poseidon's
Fury: Escape from the Lost City
This attraction is more of a show than a ride because you
walk through the building. It is filled with special
effects and a really awesome water tunnel. I don't want
to spoil it for you.
Seuss
Landing
The Cat In The Hat
This ride recites the book while you
experience it. The ride was really alot of fun. It
basically is what Disney should be aiming for in all of
their classic rides in Magic Kingdom's Wonderland. This
is also the most dizzying ride in the park.
