Knoebel's

House
I'm pretty sure this is the best dark ride I have ever
been on. You ride in a little car while things light up
and jump out and try to scare you. But the ride isn't
really scary at all, it is just fun for everyone.
High Speed
Thrill Coaster
This coaster was the first coaster that Knoebel's
installed. It's fun for kids and adults alike.
Phoenix
The Phoenix was formally known as the Rocket
in Playland Park, but when the park closed, this amazing
coaster was saved and moved to Knoebel's Grove. After it
was re-built, they named it the Phoenix and the ride was
still just as good as it was before. This coaster is one
of my personal favorite wooden coaster simply because of
the great air-time it gives going over every little hill.
Head for the front on this coaster, because that is where
you really fly out of your seat.
Twister
After the park's huge success with
preserving the Phoenix, when they decided on a new
coaster, they chose yet another great coaster that was no
longer in opperation. They chose Mr. Twister from Elitch
Gardens in Denver Colorado. But rather than taking the
old one down, they found it more cost effective to use
the original plans for Mr. Twister and built a new
coaster. The idea was to preserve the wild and intense
ride that Mr. Twister always gave to it's riders.
Knoebel's also agreed that the coaster will be built
completely on their own without the help of any major
companies to insure that the new coaster was exactly what
they wanted. Twister is my third favorite wooden coaster,
right behind Phoenix. This coaster has a very unique
design including a switchback lift hill, a turning break
run and station, a double helix, and over 30 cross-overs
during the ride. I also think this is the smoothest
wooden coaster I have ever been on. Knoebel's did a great
job with this coaster but I was never on Mr. Twister, so
I don't know if it's as good as the original. Even if it
isn't, its still a wonderful ride.
Whirlwind
This is a very early Vekoma looping coaster
with 2 inversions. A very smooth ride, but also very
short .
