Desperado
In what seem to be the middle of nowhere..
there lies one of the world's tallest, fastest, and
longest coasters. Desperado is located about 45 minutes
south of Las Vegas at a huge resort on the border of
Nevada and California. It stands 209 feet off the ground
and plunges 225 feet down into an underground tunnel at
the speed of 90 mph. This Arrow built hypercoaster is
really alot of fun and I think it is alot better than
Magnum XL-200. The ride gives you a great first drop,
plenty of positive and negative g forces, and a really
fast trip around the entire Buffalo Bill's property.

This coaster might just be my least favorite
coaster of all time. I didn't find it all that thrilling
and it was extremely rough, but the worst part is that it
costs $10 to ride it once. Not only that, but they don't
even let you pick your seat. The twist and dive inversion
was pretty cool but not worth the bruises I recieved from
it. Unless you're really curious, just skip this one...
it is more fun watching it from the ground.

The Ride
This is by far the best coaster in Las
Vegas. When I heard that Premier Rides was building this
coaster, I figured that it would be really rough like
Batman & Robin: The Chiller, but this ride was
actually pretty smooth. The 45 mph launch out of the
Nascar Cafe is awesome. Then you hit a highly banked left
turn that brings you underground. After that comes a loop
and then another launch that brings you up to 70 mph as
fast as you did before. Then from there it is truely all
about speed as you fly straight through the big Sahara
sign and up a 224 foot tall tower. Doing it in reverse is
even more fun!

Big Shot
Stick your favorite S&S built Space Shot
in the clouds and then you'll get Big Shot. Big Shot is
placed right on top of the Stratosphere Tower in Las
Vegas. You get strapped in and you start to hear a rumble
coming from the speakers. Suddenly you are blasted 45 mph
straight up from 889 feet to 1,049 feet in the air. When
you're about to reach the top, something I have never
experienced on any other space shot occurs. Something
kicks in slowing the car a bit which causes you to float
for a few seconds... 1,049 feet in the air! You
eventually bounce your way back down to the launching pad
where you hear "Viva Las Vegas" playing out of
big speakers. I really don't think any S&S Space
Shots will be quite the same after this insane
contraption.
