Six Flags
New EnglandCyclone
This is the wildest wooden coaster I have
ever been on. Basically the lift hill is quite large for
a classic wooden coaster. But after the lift, it drops
only about 50 feet at a really steep angle and then turns
with an extreme bank to it. It is really rough unless you
sit in the very front, and there its still quite intense.
The rest of the ride you'll find yourself holding on for
dear life as it whips you back and forth. The only really
rough part is at the bottom of the first drop, but the
rest is still pretty bumpy. There is even a part in this
coaster where you swear the train jumps the track even
though I'm sure it doesn't. What a ride and what a
classic!
Flashback
This Boomerang coaster was moved from Six
Flags Kentucky Kingdom to this park in 2000. I thought
the ride was pretty smooth compared to some other Vekoma
boomerangs. You can also see in the picture how nice the
lines were the day I was there. Only one person stands in
the queue and thats my dad.
Mind Eraser
This coaster seemed to be an exact replica of Serial
Thriller at Six Flags Ohio. The roughness, feel, and even
paint job are exactly alike.
Superman:
Ride of Steel
Ever since I saw construction pics of this
coaster I knew it was going to be a hit, but the second I
heard that it was better than Millennium Force, I had to
find out for myself. I went straight to the back since on
most hypercoasters, thats where the ride is the best.
After riding in the back I got off the ride thinking it
was awesome but not even close to MF. I came back to the
ride a few hours later and decided to try the middle and
surprisingly it seemed more fun than the back. After
realizing this, I bolted back in line and waited for the
very front. All I can say is WOW! The front seat on this
ride is surely as good as Millennium Force, but the only
problem is that I never got to ride the front seat of MF.
I do think the back seat of Millennium Force is better
than Superman, so I'm assuming that the front of MF would
be better than S:ROS. But really... who cares which one
is better... they are both amazingly fun!
Thunderbolt
This classic wooden coaster is great for the
whole family. Not a whole lot of positive g's, negative
g's, or excitement, but it is extremely smooth and alot
of fun.
