Knight Flight
This B&M Floorless coaster seems really
fast and out of control when you ride it. It has 5
inversions, the first being a huge vertical loop that
lets you hang out of your seat. This ride is placed on
the shores of Geauga Lake right next to Serial Thriller
and Raging Wolf Bobs. I really enjoyed this ride, but I
prefer Medusa at Six Flags Great Adventure.
Big Dipper
This is quite a great classic woodie. Not only does this
coaster give out good air-time, it gently lifts you up
and out of your seat over and over and over again. I
don't really know how to explain it, except for saying
that it is the best in the front and still really good
torwards the back. It's out and back design squeezes
through alot of the park's older rides and their water
park, making it even more exciting. I was lucky enough to
be in the front seat of this coaster during a sudden
downpour, which made it quite an experience.
Double Loop
This is a double looping Arrow coaster. It is
very smooth, but not all that exciting. |
Mind Eraser
This Vekoma Boomerang is rougher than most, but
still alot of fun. |
Mr. Hyde's Nasty Fall
This is my favorite Intamin 1st
generation freefall tower, but I really don't
know why. |
Rotor
This classic ride spins around really fast and
then drops the floor out leaving riders stuck to
the walls.
( I believe that this ride might no longer exist
in this park ) |
Raging
Wolf Bobs
I found this coaster to be very fun. It twists and turns
in and out of itself many times. It was built in 1988 by
the Dinn Corperation, but it looks and feels alot older
than that. This coaster is much more fun torwards the
front because it seemed to be alot more bumpy in the
back.
Road Runner
Express
This was the smaller of the Y2K coasters built at this
park and it was not yet opened when I visited.
Serial
Thriller
Compared to The Great Nor' Easter, this coaster is
totally smooth. But I also think that this standard
Vekoma SLC was the least exciting Inverted / Suspended
Looping coaster I have ever been on. I ended up riding it
about 10 times and then decided to just stick with Raging
Wolf Bobs and Big Dipper for the rest of the day.
Superman
Ultimate Escape
This ride is simply nuts. You board a 28
passenger inverted train and prepare for the strangest
trip ever. First it launches you using LIM motors about
halfway up the northern tower. The northern tower is
basically a huge heartline roll going 90 degrees upward
making it an upward spiral. You make it about halfway up
and then just fall back to earth and get launched
backwards through the station and up the southern tower
which is basically a 90 degree incline without any
spirals or anything. Then you freefall back through the
station and go all the way up to the very top of the
northern tower (this is where the front seat is by far
the coolest). Then you fly back through the station and
go back up the sounthern tower but right when you reach
your peak height, brakes hold you there at a complete 90
degree angle for about a second and then let go (this is
where the back seat is by far the coolest). Then you go
back up the northern tower about 3/4 of the way and drop
back into the station where this insane ride is over.
What a rush!!
The Villain
This Custom Coasters built wooden coaster is a very nice
addition to the park's other classic wooden coasters. It
is quite smooth throughout the entire ride and it is
filled with lots of positive, negative, and lateral g
forces. The open trains are another great treat, but the
lap bars should be widened in my opinion because when you
hit any lateral forces your legs fly right into the side
of those lapbars and it can tend to hurt a bit. I really
love this ride, but there sure isn't anything like a
great ride on Big Dipper.
