Countdown To Extinction
This is the most thrilling Disney ride I have ever
ridden. I have heard that they are going to tame it way
down in order to theme it with an upcoming movie. This
would really be a waste. Most of the ride is in the
complete dark, and compared to IOA's Jurassic Park River
Adventure, these dinos seem real!
Kilimanjaro Safari
This is my favorite Disney ride. You hop in
these huge (and i mean huge) tour trucks that aren't on
any tracks, these machines are hand driven by a Disney
Tour guide. Basically you spend 20 minutes looking at
African animals roam freely. No matter where you look on
this ride, it seems that the desert stretches hundreds of
miles. You really feel like this is an acutal safari tour
in Africa.

Rock
'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith
This Vekoma built coaster is the first and
only looping coaster built in Walt Disney World. It
features 3 inversions inside a completely closed in
building. The preshow video basically tells you that
Aerosmith wants to bring you to their big show and in
order to get there on time, you will really have to
speed. With the use of LSM moters, your "stretch
limo" brings you from 0-57 mph in 2 seconds. From
there on, you fly in and out of Hollywood. It is a really
smooth coaster and a great thrilling ride without being
too thrilling for Disney.
The
Twilight Zone: Tower Of Terror
This is probably my favorite freefall ride
because of the insane amount of theming Disney put into
it. When you board your car, you travel upwards a bit.
After a couple of special effects, you slide out of the
shaft and move forward through a bunch of meaningless
"Twilight Zone" type stuff. Eventually you stop
and all lights go out. Suddenly you drop a bit and then
fly all the way to the top where the elevator shaft doors
open, letting you see all of MGM Studios. When it was
originally built, it only dropped twice. Now you drop
around 4 or 5 times and fly out of your seat each time. A
great, but somewhat spooky ride.
Epcot
Test
Track
This ride is actually more fun than
thrilling. I originally thought that it was being built
to be a flat out thrill ride, but after riding it, I
think its better because the whole family can enjoy the
fun. The waiting area is filled with all sorts of gadgets
like smashed up cars, crash test dummies, and everything
else used in car testing. The ride itself is mostly
inside. First you check out the cars speed, handling, and
resistance to temperature. After the whole testing is
done the fun part comes. You fly out of the building and
hit a speed around 65 mph. Disney and GM really did well,
even though it took an extra 2 years to finally open.
Magic
Kingdom
Alien
Encounter
Even though I have been on this ride many
times, it still spooks me out. They sit you in this big
"spaceship" and there is a power failure that
turns all of the lights out and lets out an extraterrorestrial.
When you finally get to see the monster it looks really
cheesy, but when it is completely dark in there, trust
me, you'll get spooked.
Big
Thunder Mountain Railroad
This mine train roller coaster features alot
of neat elements including 3 lift hills. The ride weaves
in and out of a man-made canyon. It is alot of fun for
all ages.
Haunted
Mansion
This classic Disney ride still impresses me
with its simple yet neat special effects. First there is
the stretching room that gets taller and taller, then
comes the actual ride. You hop in cars that will give you
a tour of the mansion. Inside you see doorknobs knocking
by themselves, singing ghosts, and my personal favorite,
the hitch-hiking ghosts.
Space
Mountain
This was the first coaster built in Walt
Disney World. The ride takes place in a huge dome where
only stars light the way for your comet car. It is a
pretty bumpy ride, but still a fun classic.
Splash
Mountain
This log Flume is a fairly new addition to
the Magic Kingdom. The ride is extremely long, but that
just adds to the fun. Basically, the Brer Rabbit is
always being chased by the Brer Fix and Brer Bear. One
day the clumsy duo acutally catch him and throw him and
you down a mountain into the Briar Patch. It seems that
Disney never fails at any ride they install.
